Its that time of year again! – Haute Couture season!
Haute Couture is always criticized for being unwearbale and inaccessible to the public due to sky high prices, however! Giving designers this creative outlet lets them truly shout out the aesthetic, voice, and persona of their brand, allowing everyone to draw on elements from these exquisite pieces that translate into ready-to-wear creations.
This year’s Haute Couture was far more wearable than previous years, from Donatella’s astonishing brights to ladylike 50′s silhouettes in Christian Dior. Chanel offered demure pieces with beautiful fabrics but it was Versace that really showcased her artistic prowess after an 8 year absence from the Haute Couture runways.
