Blog Love More showing off a great kimono/silk cape – bought at the salvo’s (thrift store) lingerie section!
A few street style snaps from NY Fall FW. I’m sure the Peter Som sweater below will be in Tommy Ton’s street style photos soon enough!
Speaking of which – notice the very Eastern cuts of the recent fashion weeks – high collars, demure sleeves – all catering to the Asian markets – even elegant designer Marchesa has changed her aesthetic!
Living in Japan has made me a sucker for Anna Sui’s cute and colourful collection. You can’t help but smile looking at the show!

Spring Couture 2013 – High fashion goes haywire
Posted: January 30, 2013 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a comment »Spring Couture shows 2013 – High fashion goes haywire. This season designers have added experimental whimsy to their collections. While some of the shows were more weird fantasy (eg. Chanel) than experimental design talent, a few pieces from the high end design houses showed their range and diversity, a nice change from repeat themes and cuts.
Favourites? The yellow dress, below, from Giambattista Valli.
Elie Saab never disappoints and while the quirky floral stencil dress is less beauty and more statement, it’s exciting to see something fresh from the classically elegant designer. The blazer slung over the shoulder was a nod to 90′s retro, a favourite of mine.
Christian Dior added an oriental edge with eastern floral embellishments and bold brights.
Valentino showed a classic collection as always, which unfortunately despite the beauty and delicate designs, was a tad boring compared to other shows. But! The dress below added a unique asymmetry, odd neckline and strange silhouette which was a welcome addition to the collection.
